Loveland, Ohio is a town that has been recognized for its scenic beauty and rich history. This small city in the state of Ohio offers residents and visitors alike an array of activities to partake in such as biking, hiking, birding, and kayaking. One activity that many people enjoy doing when they come to Loveland is running one or more marathons! Of course there are other great things to do here but we wanted to give you some suggestions on where you can run a marathon if you visit this beautiful place.

1) The Little Miami Marathon

The Little Miami Marathon is held in Loveland, Ohio. It follows the beautiful scenery of the Little Miami River and takes runners past various parks that are filled with flowers, riverside trails, historic houses & bridges as well as lush forests. This marathon will take participants through multiple cities including Milford , Morrow , Newtown , Kings Mills and Spring Valley . After the race, you will be awarded with a medal and have access to many post-race activities including food & drinks.

2) Try a Triathlon: Frogman Race

The Frogman race is a great place to do your first triathlon. This race is comprised of a 5 mile Canoe/Kayak, 8 mile Bike, and a 5k Run. All races are held on the scenic Little Miami River. The race begins at Lock 39 Canoe Livery before heading downstream to Beechwood Trails where athletes will transition to their bikes and head back upstream past Loveland High School . Athletes then return back down river for a final transition, which leads them into the run course that circles around John Bryan State Park and finishes back at the Canoe Livery.

Everyone who participates in this race will receive a tech shirt, finisher medal as well as post-race food & drinks! The Frogman is Loveland's only USAT sanctioned triathlon so you can be sure that it is safe to participate in. This event has been named one of the Top Ten Triathlons in Ohio by Active.com

If you are looking for a new challenge then this event may just be perfect for you! You will get to enjoy many activities while also getting some exercise so what's not to love? Many people come from all over the country and even other countries to participate in it each year. So if you are visiting the city of Loveland then add this activity to your list!

3) Run/Walk for First Responders

Come and show support for Loveland's first responders in this event. Their tagline: “Get up, get out, get together, and get moving for a great cause!” is the perfect way to describe this event. The goal of this race is to raise awareness and funds in support of Loveland's first responders, which includes police officers, firefighters and paramedics.

This race will be held at  Nisbet Park in Downtown where participants can enjoy beautiful scenery along with their run or walk. The race begins with a scenic one mile loop. Please feel free to go at your own pace!

After crossing the finish line, athletes will be welcomed by food & drinks! The excitement doesn't end there! Be sure to join in on the raffle at 7:30!
